Our philosophy Cwm Taf Cares is at the heart of everything we do.
We are passionate about providing high quality patient care and services to our local community and our team of dedicated nurses play a vital role in helping us achieve this.
If you choose to become a nurse at Cwm Taf University Health Board, you will be able to leave a positive, lasting impression on your patients. Many of the patients in the Cwm Taf area have complex health needs and, as a result, you will be able to gain a vast amount of experience in dealing with a variety of health issues.
We know that the health and wellbeing of our nurses and an enjoyable working environment is essential to ensuring our patients receive the best care.
All nurses are well supported by senior staff who are always available for guidance and advice. When new graduate nurses join Cwm Taf University Health Board, they enter a mentee programme where they are provided with an experienced mentor to help them learn and develop.
We are one of a handful of organisations who have been awarded the Platinum award for Corporate Health Standard – a national initiative demonstrating the ongoing dedication to supporting staff health and wellbeing.
We have created an active employee engagement group which has been key to ensuring our nurses feel engaged with each other and our organisation. And, in partnership with Trade Unions and Staff Side Organisations, we have developed a staff handbook to provide an opportunity to highlight key health and wellbeing messages for our staff. This handbook also emphasises the benefits of working in Cwm Taf, an employer of choice in the area.
We truly care about the wellbeing of our staff, who are as important to us as the care we give to our patients.
