The specialist doctor, who is based at Royal Glamorgan Hospital, said: “For me Cwm Taf UHB really is the best place to be.
“I have worked in England, Australia and Canada, but felt I would most enjoyprogressing my careerhere.
“Cwm Taf offers excellent support and room for growth, combined with scenic surrounding areas, and fantastic colleagues.
“I can’t imagine working in a more innovative and supportive health board. I firmly believe that Cwm Taf and its doctors are some of the best in Wales.”
Thanks to his move to Cwm Taf UHB, Dr Gavin Clague has seen his career thrive to incorporate both his professional and personal interests.
Since joining Cwm Taf UHB in 2013 the musculoskeletal radiologist has extensively expanded his experience in radiology examinations and procedures, and now offers innovative treatments for multiple musculoskeletal conditions.
His passion for radiology has also encompassed his personal interest in sports. Not only is he interested in sports injury imaging, but all aspects of musculoskeletal radiology includinginflammatory arthritis and soft tissue sarcoma which he gets great exposure to during his work.
He said: “In terms of the work I do day-to-day, I don’t think I could find a better job for me personally.
“While my passion and focus at work is undeniably radiology, working for the health board offers a great deal of variety, which keeps the role continually interesting.”
Another element of working at Cwm Taf, which motivates Dr Clague is his colleagues. The health board employs some of the most respected and passionate professionals, who are constantly striving to enhance medical care.
